Sozu Haus Hackathon

Feb/March 2025

"Sozu Haus is a hacker house series accelerated by BitDAO. The mission of Sozu Haus is to be a home for builders everywhere. Every Sozu Haus is an oasis for a community of talented builders, good vibes, and a hub for the web3 family and puzzles that bind us.'

The Sozu "Not Denver Virtual AI Hackathon" brought together developers from around the world for a two-week virtual coding competition hosted by Sozu Haus from February 23 to March 8, 2025.

There were 40 submissions, 16 were selected to demo by sponsor teams.

Mantle had a $25k prize pool for their "Build an AI Agent" track with potential grant funding ranging from $20,000 to $500,000 for promising projects. Additional sponsorships from Wormhole, Virtuals Protocol, Story Protocol, ACT, Kaito, and Cookie.fun, collectively offering over $115,000 in prizes, API credits, and accelerator opportunities.

Here are some of the demos, in the order they were presented….

HiveFi

Promise

AI-powered agent swarms to simplify and automate DeFi operations on the Mantle Network. Multi-Agent System (MAS) with 18 specialized AI agents that handle various tasks like fetching metrics, executing trades, and managing wallets. Natural language processing, wallet management, token transfers, swapping on Merchant Moe, lending and borrowing on Lendle, and transaction tracking.

In Prod

Take: The agents aren’t functional in the chat interface yet or via telegram when i tried/checked.

Bobby by Compound

Promise

A yield-optimizing stablecoin vault on Arbitrum, developed by AlphaGrowth with Compound's support as their first AI agent integration. The system combines three components: an automated vault that dynamically allocates stablecoins to the highest-yielding Compound markets, a bonding mechanism that rewards users for locking their funds (1-365 days) with higher yields, and an AI agent named "BOBBY FLESHNER" (inspired by Robert Leshner) that serves as a companion but doesn't manage funds directly.

The project is set to monitor APY differences between stablecoin markets and automatically swaps funds when profitable, creating a "Risk Free Value" floor price backed by the vault's cTokens. BOBBY has secured a $25K Chainlink grant, a $5K Arbitrum development grant, and $100K in bond incentives through Arbitrum's Trailblazer AI grants program, with an OpenZeppelin audit underway before launch.

In Prod

Take: There is a talk to bobby button for telegram that doesn’t work currently on the frontend. I was able to successfully interact with compound via the frontend. I tried to buy $bobby but wasn't unable to.

Agentize Art

Promise

A platform to create twitter agents to bullpost nft projects focused on art for now.

In Prod

Take: Not quite ready e.g. agents aren’t fine tuned & repeat the same phrase(s). I tried creating an agent but was unable to. Earnest builder.

Crashout

Promise

Chat GPT enabled frontend enabling transactions, nft mints and bridging. Essentially a take on personalized ai interaction enabling onchain actions.

In prod

Take: minting seemed successful though I couldn't inspect the transaction data. The UI is definitely interesting/fun - effective use of memes. The bridging action is currently simulated. Have no idea what the agent is talking about lol, though it does respond reliably.

Muse AI

Promise

Transform your conversations into structured notes with AI. The UI listens to a meeting / conversation once you hit record and creates summaries based on the audio.

In prod

Take: it works. Its the first product for a decentralized infrastructure protocol they are building to enable personal data sovereignty in the AI age through a network of storage and compute nodes incentivized by a token economy. Big vision, cool website, long litepaper - venice ai a good fit.

Mantle Monks

Promise

Built by a creative tech studio called Origin Stories, MØNKS is a Mantle specific NFT collection of unique digital characters, each personalized by its creator (the minter). The trait rarity evolves as the monastery gains members, and is only finalized after the final Monk has been brought to life. They use machine learning to ensure consistency of the collection style.

In prod

Take: The minting process is seamless via telegram, the demo was useful/impressive too.

papa's monk

Suma AI

Promise

Summarise telegram chats using semantic alerts (e.g. you want to hear about dogs - it catches when someone talks about “shiba inu”). Configure alerts by the day or week, with detailed summary's you can then question the bot/agent about and it will surface specific links and/or context.

In Prod

Take: works well. They have a waitlist option on their site (i am number 3 in line now), but you can actually use it directly now (probs for judges). No onchain element yet but well executed.

Yap Shield

Promise

Browser extension that enables you to filter out "AI slop" on the twitter timeline and target specific stuff you actually want to have access to and/or to learn about.

In Prod

Not sure.

Take: Worked pretty well in the demo, would have loved to review/test but couldn't find it in public.

Zumatch

Promise

Platform for matching with other builders in a tinder style format where you post a 10 second video.

In Prod

  • Website:

  • Builder:

Take: nicely designed, works well for its intended use case, enthusiastic builder. Not sure where the video is saved so I haven't done it just yet but the demo was pretty seamless.

Notes

This was my second time participating, first time submitting.

As ever it was well organised and there’s evidently a strong community forming predicated on both in person and virtual connections. A number of the participants had presented before, so were demonstrating progress on pre-existing projects/ideas. The determination of winners is yet to come but this is a selection of those who were asked to demo.

There were a couple i missed due to a bad internet connection, feel free to reach out to be included.

The main line of questioning and/or commentary was focused on what aspects of projects generally were onchain (and why), plus creating unique/interesting frontends.

WOWOW

I built https://wowowify.vercel.app

  1. Its a frontend enabling image overlay of logos (like at the start of this article)

  2. This action is also enabled via a custom farcaster frame i built.

  3. Users can do this manually (upload files), or by talking to the agent on farcaster
e.g. "mantleify this image" and attach the image (it will find it and do the business).

  4. User can also generate images powered by venice ai (leverages an llm to parse commands).

  5. The agent/bot on farcaster called snel (https://warpcast.com/snel) responds to (and interprets) natural language commands.

  6. All images are stored immutably on grove, and mantle images are mintable as NFTs on testnet.

NFT Contract: https://explorer.sepolia.mantle.xyz/token/0x8B62D610c83C42Ea8A8fC10F80581d9B7701cd37

Github: https://github.com/thisyearnofear/ify-agent

Future: deploy NFT contract via the agent in the farcaster feed, mint NFT in feed, have the agent read the onchain contract details and update you on how its minting, showcase the NFTs in interesting gallery frontends e.g. frames (mini apps) and/or personalised frontends, etc.

Thanks for reading, consider minting this article & encouraging more like it, catch you on the next
